Second TRIREME Partnership Meeting

Held last week in Milan, the second TRIREME Partnership Meeting was a two-day event that was critical in fostering collaboration and providing updates on key developments across all Work Packages (WPs), helping ensure alignment on the project’s goals and next steps.

The meeting agenda was comprehensive, allowing each WP to share detailed insights into their ongoing work, deliverables, and future plans. The gathering began with an overview of the overall project status, setting the stage for in-depth discussions.

Day 1 Highlights:

- WP2 (Continuous Skills Intelligence Gathering) presented an in-depth breakdown of Deliverable 2.1, with particular emphasis on the survey results conducted between July and September 2024. These findings are crucial for shaping the project's direction, as they provide data-driven insights into current needs.

- WP3 (Sectoral Skills Strategy Development & Update) followed with a presentation on the methodology for skills intelligence, detailing the approach for analysing labour market demands and mapping them to evolving job roles. The team also outlined the envisioned structure for defining and standardising job roles, a key step toward ensuring that the project’s outputs are aligned with industry requirements.

- WP4 (Curricula Update & Development) took the floor to present updates on the consortium's offering of pilot programs and discussed the requirements for developing relevant training materials. These materials will be instrumental in closing identified skills gaps and promoting workforce readiness.

- WP5 (Regional Roll-out) delivered updates on the regional meetings and provided an overview of the methodology for mapping regional projects and relevant stakeholders. These efforts aim to identify synergies with existing regional initiatives and ensure that TRIREME’s impact is maximised across different areas.

- WP6 (Social Impact of the Continuous Transformation in the Ecosystem) concluded the day with a presentation of Deliverable 6.1 and an overview of their coming work, which will include activities such as the analysis of the best practices gathered, a preliminary exchange of views with metal, engineering & technology-based (MET) social partners and mobility stakeholders and the organisation of workshops.

Day 2 Highlights:

- WP7 (Dissemination & Sustainability) kicked off the second day with a presentation on the Dissemination and Communication Strategy, highlighting the tools and resources produced to promote the project. These include communication materials designed to raise awareness about TRIREME’s goals and ensure stakeholder engagement.

- The day continued with an update on the Pact for Skills, including a detailed introduction of the Pact for Skills Support Services to ensure synergies between TRIREME and Automotive Skills Alliance activities. This session was followed by a workshop focused on revising the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring that metrics used to track the project's progress remain relevant and impactful.

In addition to these presentations, the meeting provided valuable opportunities for open discussion, collaboration, and strategic planning among all partners. Looking ahead, the consortium is well-positioned to meet its objectives, with clear next steps outlined across all WPs.

This productive meeting not only strengthened the collaboration among TRIREME partners but also ensured that the project continues to make significant strides in achieving its mission of fostering workforce development and addressing the evolving needs of the job market.
