TRIREME expands its learning offer with six new courses on cybersecurity, predictive maintenance and AI
TRIREME continues to expand its educational offer with the release of six new courses addressing some of the most important technological developments shaping the future of the mobility and automotive sectors. Covering topics ranging from automotive cybersecurity and predictive maintenance to data preparation and generative artificial intelligence, the new courses provide learners with practical knowledge and future-oriented skills aligned with industry needs.
A key addition is Automotive Cybersecurity Practitioner – Introduction and Motivation, which introduces the principles, standards, and engineering practices that underpin secure vehicle development. The course explores risk identification, security-by-design approaches, and the regulatory frameworks that are increasingly shaping the development of connected and software-driven vehicles.
The release also includes a series of courses dedicated to predictive maintenance, an increasingly important approach for improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and optimising maintenance strategies.
Introduction to Predictive Maintenance provides a foundation in predictive maintenance concepts, technologies, and applications, explaining how sensors, monitoring systems, and data analysis can be used to anticipate failures before they occur.
Building on this foundation, Predictive Maintenance and Reliability Overview examines common machine failures, the influence of materials and operating conditions on equipment performance, and the key reliability indicators used to assess and improve system effectiveness.
Meanwhile, History and Future Directions of Predictive Maintenance traces the evolution of predictive maintenance techniques, from traditional diagnostic methods to modern approaches based on machine learning and advanced predictive algorithms.
Recognising the growing importance of data skills across industries, TRIREME has also introduced Collecting and Preparing Data for Machine Learning, available in both English and Slovenian. The course covers data acquisition, organisation, preprocessing, visualisation, and the fundamental concepts required to prepare data for machine learning applications.
Completing the new release is Generative Artificial Intelligence: Controversy and Ethical Aspects, also available in English and Slovenian. The course introduces the fundamentals of generative AI technologies, including large language models and diffusion models, while examining their legal implications, benefits, risks, ethical considerations, and potential misuse.
Together, these six new courses strengthen the TRIREME learning portfolio by addressing critical areas of technological innovation and workforce development. By combining technical expertise with an understanding of emerging digital technologies, they support professionals, learners, and educators in preparing for the future of the mobility ecosystem.
All courses are available through the TRIREME website and can be accessed through the Skills Hub.
