TRIREME Releases New Insights on Skills for the Mobility Transition

Titled “Skills for the Mobility Transition: An Industry Perspective”, the publication presents a concise overview of key findings from a broader research effort based on structured qualitative interviews with 60 stakeholders across the automotive and mobility value chain.

The insights highlight how decarbonisation, digitalisation and automation are redefining industrial competitiveness, workforce requirements and companies’ ability to execute the mobility transition. In particular, the findings underline growing challenges related to skills gaps, workforce adaptation, and the need for more responsive education and training systems.

The publication is designed as an accessible entry point to the full TRIREME report, offering readers a clear snapshot of industry perspectives while encouraging deeper exploration of the underlying analysis.

The full report draws on interviews conducted in two phases between June and November 2025, capturing a wide range of views from industrial stakeholders engaged in the transition towards a more sustainable, digital and automated mobility ecosystem.
