TRIREME marks its second year with concrete results and a key milestone ahead

Two years after its launch, TRIREME reaches an important milestone in its mission to support the automotive-mobility sector through the green and digital transitions by placing skills at the centre.

Since its inception, TRIREME has brought together industry, education and training providers, social partners and policy stakeholders to address one of the sector’s most pressing challenges: the growing gap between skills supply and rapidly evolving labour market needs.

Over the past two years, the project has delivered tangible results. A shared framework has been developed to better align education and training with industry requirements, while nine new courses have been designed and launched to support upskilling and reskilling across the automotive-mobility ecosystem.

As TRIREME enters the second half of the project, attention now turns to a major upcoming milestone. In March 2026, the project will release its Sectoral Skills Strategy, offering a coordinated, forward-looking roadmap to anticipate skills needs and support a sustainable, competitive future for the sector.

Building on the progress achieved so far, TRIREME will continue strengthening collaboration across policy, education, training and industry, ensuring that the workforce is ready to meet the challenges and opportunities of the green and digital transitions.
