The European Systems, Software, Services Process and Product Improvement & Innovation Conference 2025 (EuroSPI 2025) took place in Riga, Latvia, from 17 to 19 September 2025, hosted by Riga Technical University. The event gathered around 120 participants from academia, industry, and policy to share insights and best practices in software and systems engineering, process improvement, and innovation.

 

Organised within the long-running EuroSPI² series, the conference featured multiple thematic workshops and parallel sessions focusing on topics such as software process improvement (SPI), functional safety and cybersecurity, sustainability and digitalisation, agile and innovative engineering practices, and the application of standards across industries. Proceedings were published by Springer in the Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS)series, underscoring EuroSPI’s recognised role in advancing applied research and collaboration across Europe’s digital and industrial ecosystems.

 

During the “Digitalisation of Industry, Infrastructure, and E-Mobility” workshop stream, TRIREME was represented by a keynote presentation titled “First Results of the TRIREME (2024–2027) Project and Outlook”delivered by Jakub Stolfa, President of the Automotive Skills Alliance and TRIREME Coordinator. In his address, he presented the project’s latest achievements and outlined the upcoming milestones - notably the launch of the Sectoral Skills Strategy and the Reference Framework of Job Roles and Skills, both scheduled for February 2026.

 

In the same workshop, a session titled “Strategic Foresight and Skills Intelligence for the Automotive-Mobility Ecosystem: Insights from the TRIREME Project” was presented by a team from VSB – Technical University of Ostrava. The presentation focused on TRIREME’s work in mapping future trends and developing skills intelligence for the automotive-mobility ecosystem. A similar presentation was also delivered by TRIREME partners during the EuroSPI Online TechDay, a pre-event held on 15 September 2025.
