TRIREME Consortium Meeting in Milan: Day 1

The TRIREME consortium met in Milan on 7 October at The Adecco Group Italia for the first day of its partnership meeting, bringing partners together to review progress and discuss the project’s contribution to the future skills needs of the mobility ecosystem.

The day opened with an overall project status update, covering progress across the Work Packages, key achievements and project KPIs, as well as the outcomes of the mid-term review and priorities for the remainder of the project.

A key theme was impact. Partners discussed how increasing participation in upskilling and reskilling is only one part of the process, with lasting impact also depending on the adoption and recognition of training and skills solutions at European, national, regional and local levels. The discussion also addressed the future of the Pact for Skills and opportunities to strengthen cooperation across the Automotive Skills Alliance.

The morning continued with a session on the Sectoral Skills Strategy, focusing on skills cards, job roles and their potential use beyond the lifetime of the project. Partners also explored the potential of the Skills Hub to support access to skills and learning opportunities across the mobility ecosystem.

A highlight of the morning was the feedback from EACEA, who congratulated the consortium on its collective work and key achievements. EACEA highlighted TRIREME’s strong dissemination materials and engagement with other European projects and initiatives, and encouraged the partnership to continue exploring the project’s results and their potential application, including at regional level.

The afternoon continued with sessions on Social Impact and Continuous Transformation, Curricula Development and Update, and Continuous Skills Intelligence Gathering, covering social impact activities, courses and pilots, micro-credentials, the Skills Hub and Learning Platform, workshops and stakeholder interviews.

The first day provided an opportunity for partners to take stock of progress, exchange lessons learned and strengthen the pathways through which TRIREME results can be used and sustained beyond the project.
